The Delhi Charter School Gators will kick off the 2023 season Thursday night at home versus the Rayville High School Hornets.
The Gators are coming off a 10-2 season in 2022 that saw DCS go undefeated at 5-0 in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Class 1A, District 4 before falling in the second round of the LHSAA playoffs.
The Hornets are coming off a 3-9 year in 2A, District 2. The Hornets finished 2022 with a 2-4 district record.
In 2022, the Gators opened the season with a 50-26 win over the Hornets on the road in Rayville.
Thursday's non-conference season-opener is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. at Brett Raley field in Delhi.
