The Delhi Charter School Gators have left its 0-4 start to the season far behind, going 4-0 since and remaining undefeated in its district with a 74-32 homecoming win over the Block Bears Friday night.
DCS running back Deandra Young led the team with five touchdowns. Young found the end zone four times on the ground and once on the receiving end of a pass from quarterback Caden Wiggins.
Wiggins also found Patrick Sanchez for a touchdown through the air in the second half.
Following Young's lead, running back Tayven Carter finished the night with two rushing touchdowns, while Preston Hutchinson added a score with a long kickoff return.
But, the DCS defense wouldn't be left out of the scoring, as Maliky Dunn turned a fumble recovery into a scoop-and-score.
The win puts DCS at 4-4 on the season, but the Gators remain undefeated in 1A, District 4 at 3-0.
