Tallulah Academy Trojans' seniors made the most of their final regular-season game in R.A. "Racer" Holstead Memorial Stadium Friday night, handing the visiting Newton Academy Generals a 54-44 loss to extend TA's winning streak to 2.
The game stayed close for four quarters as TA went into halftime leading a one-score contest 26-20.
The teams traded scores in the second half, but the Trojans answered the call to pull out the close win to close out regular-season home play.
Friday's victory gives the Trojans a 5-3 mark on the year heading into next week's road game with Porter's Chapel Academy in Vicksburg.
