Former Madison School District educators were honored last Thurs., Sept. 9, at Madison High School’s first home game against Richwood High School.
Superintendent Dr. Charlie Butler Jr. and his staff showed all retired educators in attendance some appreciation for their years of dedication in educating the students of Madison Parish. The superintendent reiterated, “our retired educators played a major part in who we are as adults, and we thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Retirees engaged in a traditional, tailgate-style meal while enjoying the game in the end zone. The superintendent also recognized current educators in all five schools for continuing that “Madison spirit” previously set by outstanding, retired teachers by consistently setting the foundation for developing individuals who have achieved success in Tallulah and across the United States.
