Tallulah native and longtime coach Brandon Gultery was back home this week to put on the seventh installment of his annual youth camp, Coach 'G' Academy.
Gultery held an "Under the Lights" kickoff event at Madison High School's football stadium Monday night, before hosting his annual free "Daytime Boot Camp" session Tuesday morning at MHS.
Open to all kids ages five to 17, the annual camp teaches not just the fundamentals of basketball, football and other sports, but also focuses on teaching leadership skills and emphasizes responsible values.
Thursday, Gultery said this year's turnout was encouraging, especially considering the added difficulties of taking part in public events, due to COVID-19.
