Nashville – The Delhi Charter School Senior Beta Club traveled to Nashville Thurs., June 30, to attend the
National Senior Beta Convention, where they competed in the Two-Dimensional Art, Technology and Marketing and Communication categories.
Raylon Larry and Abbie Houston presented the club technology project and placed ninth. The Marketing and Communications team of Larry, Houston and Jennifer Wright brought home top honors, winning Marketing and Communications 2022 National Champion.
DCS officials said the Marketing and Communications competition provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate creativity, communication skills, and marketing strategies. They developed a campaign for the given theme of “A Healthy Tomorrow Today,” that brings awareness to the mental and emotional health of students.
“It was a surprise, and we are honored to be recognized for our hard work and creativity in this
Competition,” Wright said. “We had some really strong competition, so we are really proud to have won.”
“After getting the opportunity to travel and compete in Nashville, I am filled with happiness,”
Larry said. “The National Beta convention gave me an opportunity to showcase my talent and gave me lifelong friendships. Being named the 2022 National Champions in Marketing and Communications and ninth in Technology was one of the best feelings in the world. It was so much excitement and heartfelt.”
