The Madison Voluntary Council On Aging distributed two hundred and fifty gift cards to Madison Parish seniors during Christmas.
Madison Parish seniors said they are thankful for a gift card given to them, funded by Tallulah donors. The $25 gift cards, redeemable at Doug’s Market, were given to each participant at the Madison Voluntary Council On Aging the week of Christmas.
The gift cards were funded by donors which include: Madison Voluntary Council on Aging;
Doug’s Market; Madison Parish Farm Bureau; Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation; Dr. Ronald and Marilyn Wyche.
The Seniors, many of whom are unable to prepare their own meals, could purchase prepared foods or the raw foods that they could prepare themselves. Madison Voluntary Council on Aging staff said a special thank you goes out to those who made donations, which enabled them to have the food they needed to enjoy during the Christmas holidays.
