I read the comments made by Jeff Sadow about Rep. Francis Thompson's change to the Republican Party. Why did Jeff call it defection ? Does not any American have the right to belong to the political party he or she may see is best for America ?
I am not a politician but many years ago my wife and I also changed to the Republican Party. That was our right as it is Rep. Francis Thompson's right. He sees values changing as I believe most Americans do. Why was it so important for you to look back at what you call mistakes Mr. Thompson made? Write of one politician who you believe has never done anything wrong. I am 77 years old and I know of no human, politician or not, who has lived a perfect life. Have you lived a perfect life ? Godly values and seeing God's forgiveness in our lives is what keeps all humans able to put mistakes behind us . To criticize a person is hoping to make ourselves look better. I don't agree with everything any politician may say, regardless of party affiliation. I certainly do not agree with the direction President Biden is leading our country, but I pray for him and all the leaders in
Washington to see the need for salvation and wisdom to lead our country in what is best for America, for which thousands of men and women have given their lives.
I know there are good people in either party and God forgives all of our past wrongs. I don't have to ask what party you belong to, because I can see it in your comments. Still, God Bless you and your loves ones.
