Call to Order, Establish a quorum, Open with a silent prayer, Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Mayor Walker present, Clerk Gen Ellis present, Councilman Walter Cobb present, Councilwoman Margaret Leoty present, Councilman Curt Collins Absent.
Open Discussion:
Motion to approve the minutes from the May 16,2023 meeting was made by Councilman Walter Cobb, seconded by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty. Motion Carried.
Motion to approve the Financial Statements as paid for the month of May 2023 was made by Councilman Walter Cobb, seconded by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty. Motion Carried.
Motion to enter a SPECIAL MEETING from Regular Meeting was made by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty, seconded by Councilman Walter Cobb. Motion Carried.
Discussion.
Motion to amend the Village of Richmond General Fund amended Budget for the year ended June 30, 2023. Motion made by Councilman Walter Cobb, seconded by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty. Vote: yeas 2 nays 0 absent 1. Motion Carried.
Motion to adopt the Village of Richmond General Fund proposed budget for the year ended June 30, 2024, was made by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty, seconded by Councilman Walter Cobb. Vote: yeas 2 nays 0 absent 1. Motion Carried. ( Copies of Budgets in each Councilman’s folders. )
Motion to return to Regular Meeting from SPECIAL MEETING was made by Councilman Walter Cobb, seconded by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty. Motion Carried.
New Business:
Lawn Mowers, after a discussion a motion was made by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty, to at the discretion of the Mayor and Councilman Walter Cobb decide between 2 lawn mowers that would be best for the Village use. Motion seconded by Councilman Walter Cobb. Motion Carried.
Employee raises, a motion was made by Councilman Walter Cobb to give Robert ( Jody ) Marshall a raise, motion seconded by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty. Motion Carried.
Mayor Preston Walker, received a generous JRF Outreach 2021/22 Mini Grant Award ( Senator Katrina Jackson ). The Village of Richmond greatly appreciates this award.
There being no further business meeting adjourned.
