VILLAGE OF DELTA
BOARD MEETING
November 15, 2022
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF DELTA HELD its Regular meeting at Delta City Hall on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Present were Mayor Marvin Ashley, Council Members, Kathy Davis, Pam Stokes, Stephanie Edleston and Clerk Susan Peterson.
Council Member Stokes, made a motion seconded by Council Member Edleston, to dispense with the minutes from the last meeting. Yeas 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Council Member Stokes, made a motion seconded by Council Member Edleston, to approve the bills paid in October 2022. Yeas 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Council Member Stokes, made a motion seconded by Council Member Edleston, to approve a Vending Machine Agreement allowing a vending machine to be placed outside of Delta City Hall. Yeas 3 Nays 0 Motion carried.
Mayor Ashley announced there will be an Employee Christmas Party at Billy Italian Restaurant on December 5, 2022.
Mayor Ashley updated the Council Members on the status of the sewer loan by Communities Unlimited.
Mayor Ashley reminded VOD employees of the deadline to have the ethics training completed.
New Business:
Mayor Ashley informed the Council Members of the repairs Entergy is having to do to the Lift Station Pump #1.
Mayor Ashley discussed with the Council Members the possibility of having to increase the sewer rate of Mound Rest Area in the near future.
