NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that Amy Lauren Faulkner, the duly appointed, qualified, and acting Administratrix of the Succession of Joe William Thornton, Eloyse Machen Thornton and Billy Ezra Thornton, has petitioned this Court for authority to sell an undivided interest to Krimson Marsh at private sale AS IS without warranty to its condition for the total price of $120,000.00 cash, including but not limited to the succession’s interest in the following described property situated in the Parish of Madison, State of Louisiana, to-wit:
The Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of the Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of Section Twenty-One (21) in Township Seventeen (17) North, of Range 12 East, containing 32 acres of land, more or less, being that same property that was acquired by Herman and Letha Thornton in Conveyance Book II, Page 614 and dated March 28, 1945, less and except the following:
(1) 1.0 acre tract located adjacent to and East of Louisiana Highway No. 1133, in the Southeast one-quarter (SE ¼) of the Northwest one-quarter (NW ¼) of Section 21, Township 17 North, Range 12 East, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a fence corner on the west right-of-way line of said Highway No. 1133, said fence corner being 609.7 feet North of the Intersection of Highway No. 1133 and Parish Route No. 17, thence 60.0 feet S. 87 degrees 30 feet East to a point on the east highway right-of-way line; thence 266.49 feet South 3 degrees 00 feet West to a galvanized iron pipe, the point of beginning; thence 90.16 feet South 3 degrees, 00 minutes West to a point 0.25 feet east of the center of a 5” x 5” concrete monument marked “LHC”; thence 118.55 feet South 3 degrees – 00 minutes West to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 208.71 feet South 87 degrees – 00 minutes East to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 208.71 feet North 3 degrees – 00 East to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 208.71 North 87 degrees – 00 minutes West to the point of beginning. As shown on the plat of survey by Herbert B. Day, Registered Civil Engineer, dated February 24, 1951, attached hereto and made a part hereof; together with all buildings and improvements thereon and all rights, ways, and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any manner appertaining.
(2) Commencing at a fence corner on the west right-of-way line of said Highway No. 1133, said fence corner being 601.2 feet North of intersection of Highway No. 1133 and Parish Route No. 17; thence 60.0 feet South 87 degrees, 30 minutes East to a point on the East highway right-of-way line; thence 266.49 feet South 3 degrees, 00 minutes West to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 90.16 feet South 3 degrees, 00 minutes West to a point monument marked “LHC;” thence 118.55 feet South 3 degrees, 00 minutes West to a galvanized iron pipe, the point of beginning; thence 130 feet South, 87 degrees, 00 minutes East to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 226.00 feet South 8 degrees, 00 minutes West to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 149.60 feet North 45 degrees, 38 minutes West to a galvanized iron pipe; thence 123.80 feet North, 3 degrees, 00 minutes East to a galvanized iron pipe, the point of beginning. As shown on a plat of survey by George T. Johns, Reg. C.E., dated July 31, 1953.
And all being subject to the following:
(a) The Right of Way in recorded at Conveyance Book 56, Page 419, of the records of the Madison Parish Clerk of Court; and (b) Prior reservations of oil, gas, and minerals.
The property is sold “AS IS” waving all right of redhibition.
Notice is hereby given to all those whom it may concern that they are required to make opposition, if any they have or can, to such course and proposed sale seven (7) days, including Sundays and holidays, from the date whereon the last publication of this notice appears.
