President Oscar Hamilton called the regular board meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

On the motion of Ms. Hamilton and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave, the board voted to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
On motion of Ms. Hamilton and seconded by Mr. Wilson, the board approved the bills for payment. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs.Gultery and seconded by Mrs. Crawford, the board voted to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of February 21, 2023. Motion carried.
Item (d) Presentation from Ms. Tina Taylor of Core 3 Innovation
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Mr. Wilson the board approved item(e) Consider shredding old documents from the year 2000-2015 Phase 2. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Mrs. Gultery the board approved item (f) Consider increase on the travel rate for miles to be alignment with state rates. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Reverend Fountain the board approved item (g) Consider letting the approved budget being the approval for students and staff permission to travel out of state. Motion carried.
Item (h) Set a date for Finance meeting April 4, 2023 at 5:30 pm.
Item (i) Set a date for facilities meeting April 4, 2023, at 6:30 pm.
Item (j) Consider extension of superintendent’s contract. The board voted to bring back to the board at April Regular board meeting.
