ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
SEALED BIDS will be received by the Madison Parish School Board, 301 S. Chestnut Street, Tallulah Louisiana, in the School Board Central Office, until 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 29th 2021 for Madison High Synthetic Turf Football Field and Track Reconstruction
Complete Bidding Documents may be obtained from ARE Engineering Consultants, 800 Spring Street, Suite 214, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101 upon receipt of $125.00 for each set of documents. PRIME BIDDERS are required to obtain an original set of bidding documents from the designer. Deposit is fully refundable to all bonafide prime bidders who submit a bid upon return of the documents, in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. Bidding documents will be available in the office of the Designer on or about
September 30, 2021 .
NOTE: BIDS SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO ARE LICENSED UNDER LOUISIANA CONTRACTORS LICENSING LAW FOR THE MAJOR CLASSIFICATION OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND/OR SPECIALTY CLASSIFICATION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218 must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date of __160__________ Calendar days.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on ____October 15th 2021 at 10:00____A.M. Contractors must report to the School Board Central Office, Tallulah, Louisiana. Sign-in will be at the meeting location between 9:45 and 10:00 A.M. The Meeting will be closed at 10:00 A.M Bidders arriving after the meeting starts will not be allowed to submit a bid for the project. Attendance at the pre-bid conference by an officer, estimator or other individual knowledgeable with preparing the bid is MANDATORY and will be considered a pre-condition for bidder eligibility. Attendance through the entire meeting is required. Recording of the attendance will occur at the end of the meeting.
