TRUCK DRIVER - Applications are being accepted for the position of TRUCK DRIVER at the Madison Parish Police Jury. The individual would be responsible for the performance of skilled maintenance and construction work involving the operation of medium and light duty material transport trucks; and performs other related work as required.
The applicant must have the following: (1) the ability to drive and maintain safely and properly a fully loaded two (2) ton truck or related equipment; (2) knowledge of the traffic laws and regulations governing automotive equipment operation; (3) knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary for the proper operation of varied construction and maintenance equipment; (4) physical strength and ability sufficient to do strenuous manual work under varying weather conditions, and (5) the ability to follow oral and written instructions. A CDL is required with an acceptable driving record.
