Notice is hereby given that the City of Tallulah announces that an eligibility form and letter of intent will be submitted for the Louisiana Community Development Block Grant “Love Louisiana Outdoors Program” Low/Moderate Communities/Parishes, CDBG-CV for the following:
Letter of Intent/Eligibility Form Submittal Date: October 1, 2021
Proposed Objectives:
Renovation/Rehabilitation of the Tallulah City Park (500 W Washington Street) as follows:
Rehabilitation of the existing walk track (overlay of new asphalt, put in necessary border) and repair lighting; overlay two existing tennis courts; upgrade and add new playground equipment (ADA and inclusive); add outdoor fitness equipment (ADA and inclusive), renovate existing restroom facilities; renovate existing field (for kickball, etc), add new badminton court, purchase new basketball nets, purchase two new shade structures and renovate existing shade structure. All activities are for recreational, fitness and greenspace use. Estimated Cost: $240,000
Upgrades To Tallulah Fairgrounds Park (1206 N Cedar Street) as follows:
Add new outdoor fitness equipment (ADA and inclusive), add new playground equipment (ADA and inclusive), add fencing for fitness and playground equipment, add new shade structure, repair concrete pad for individual and/or social distancing games (i.e. hopscotch, 4-square), repair existing concrete pad for basketball court, All activities are for recreational, fitness and greenspace use. Estimated Cost $160,000
All citizens, particularly those affected by the proposed project, are encouraged to review the proposed letter of intent/eligibility form and submit any written comments to Mayor Charles Finlayson, Tallulah, 204 N Cedar Street, Tallulah, Louisiana, 71282 or by phone at 318-574-0964.
All citizens, particularly persons of low and moderate income and residents of blighted areas, are encouraged to submit their views and proposals by Friday, September 30, 2021, by 12:00 pm to Mayor Charles Finlayson at 204 N Cedar Street, Tallulah, LA 71282 or by phone at 318-574-0964.
The application is to be submitted to the Division of Administration, Office of Community Development, on or about October 1, 2021, by 4:30 pm. A copy of the letter of intent/eligibility form will be available for review Monday, August 30, 2021, at Tallulah City Hall, 204 N. Cedar Street, Tallulah, LA, 71282 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm until Friday, September 30, 2021, at 12:00 pm.
Negative Comments received will be forwarded to the state’s Office of Community Development,
Division of Administration or the application will be withdrawn if necessary.
