Regular Council Meeting
City of Tallulah
March 24, 2022
A regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council was held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 5:30 P.M., in the Council Room Chamber of Tallulah City Hall.
Mayor Charles M. Finlayson called the meeting to order, led the Pledge of Allegiance, and allowed time for silent prayer.

Motion and second to approve minutes with corrections of the March 10, 2022, meeting were made by Councilmembers Robinson and Whitney respectively and carried unanimously.
Section 8 Administrator Merunda Brown gave a report of current housing operations stating that she had three outstanding vouchers of which two were already being taken.
Mayor Finlayson explained the purpose and knowledge gained by the annual Louisiana Municipal Water Pollution Prevention Annual Audit and asked for a motion to accept. Subsequent motion and second were given by Councilmembers Whitney and Day respectively and carried unanimously.
Councilmember Robinson moved for approval of A Resolution Supporting the Application of the City of Tallulah to the State of Louisiana Government Assistance Program (LGAP) for the Purchase of Equipment for the Tallulah Fire Department. Councilmember Day seconded, and motion carried unanimously. The grant will be for $50,000 to be used for supplies and equipment for the Fire Department.
Motion and second to enter Public Hearing were made by Councilmembers Whitney and Sims respectively and carried unanimously. In Public Hearing, the topic of discussion was: An Ordinance Amending the City of Tallulah Property Maintenance Code.
Motion and second to adjourn Public Hearing and re-enter Regular Session were made by Councilmembers Whitney and Sims respectively and carried unanimously.
Subsequent motion to approve the Ordinance Amending the City of Tallulah Property Maintenance Code was made by Councilmember Robinson, seconded by Councilmember Whitney and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned on motion and second of Councilmembers Whitney and Sims respectively which carried unanimously.
