BID NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Commissioner, Fifth Louisiana Levee District, 102 Burnside Drive, Tallulah, LA 71282, up until 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, and then publicly opened and read for the recreational lease of lands described as:
East Carroll Parish, LA: Swan Lake, 377 acres – T20N R12E Sections 8, 17, & 18
Madison Parish, LA
Delta Point, 116 acres – T16N R15E River Island
Tensas Parish, LA:
Tensas Refuge Tract, 80 acres – T13N R10E Section 10
Beigler Bayou Tract, 31 acres – T12N R9E Section 1
Concordia Parish, LA:
Cocodrie Refuge East Track, 398 acres Cocodrie Refuge West Tract, 501 acres – T7N R8E Section 34 Concordia Old CRP Tract, 40 acres Cocodrie South Tact, 75 acres – T5N R7E Section 36 Quinn Tract, 80 acres – T5N R7E Sections 14 & 23
LWF Tract, 37 acres – T7N R8E Section 27
Bids must be accompanied by a $100 deposit which will be returned to all except the successful bidder. Advertising costs will be charged to the highest bidder and deducted from the $100 deposit.
Lessee must at all times during lease term carry and maintain public liability insurance in the amount of $1,000, 000.00 against claims for bodily injury, death, or property damage, occurring on the property. LESSOR MUST BE PROVIDED WITH CERTIFICATE OF SUCH COVERAGE.
Terms of lease shall be for cash rental, payable annually in advance. Lease shall be executed for period of Five (5) YEARS, beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2027. At lessee request, Levee District will reserve right to extend lease for additional five (5) year period, without advertising.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
