The Madison Parent Boosters and the Madison Baby Jag Cheerleaders hosted a walk-a-thon Saturday to raise money in support of local youth programs.
The event brought together families, students and community leaders. Madison Parish Schools Superintendent Charlie Butler praised the young participants for their energy and dedication.
“Not only are they full of spirit, but today they showed us what it means to represent Madison Parish with pride,” Butler said. “They are shining examples of excellence. You are smart, you are leaders, and you remind us why we do what we do every single day.”

Tallulah Interim Mayor Yvonne Lewis also attended and shared her encouragement. “Nothing like starting a Saturday off with these beauties,” Lewis said. “Y’all say, ‘Have a great season’ to the Madison Baby Jag Cheerleaders.”
Organizers thanked sponsors and supporters who donated time and resources to help the Baby Jags and to prepare the cheerleaders for future school activities.
