The Madison High School Jaguars, Tallulah Academy Trojans, and Delhi Charter Gators each took the field Friday night with varying results.
Delhi Charter secured its first win of the season with a 21-12 home victory over the Delhi Bears. The win evened the Gators’ record at 1-1 while dropping the Bears to 0-2. Running back Owen Martin led Delhi Charter with 132 rushing yards and two touchdowns, a career high in yardage. The Gators have now won three straight in the series dating back to 2022. Both teams are on the road this week, with Delhi Charter visiting Jonesboro-Hodge and the Bears facing Ouachita Christian.
Tallulah Academy was shut out 45-0 by Prairie View Academy. The Trojans, who had scored 58 points in their previous game, were unable to find the end zone. The loss dropped Tallulah Academy to 2-2. The Trojans will travel to face Union Christian Academy on Friday.
Madison High fell 50-12 on the road to Fontainebleau, extending its road losing streak to seven games. Madison dropped to 1-1 and will host General Trass on Friday.
