Madison Parish deputies arrested two adults and three juveniles after a shooting was reported at Country Side Apartments in Tallulah on Dec. 8, according to Sheriff Chad Ezell.
Madison Parish 911 received a call reporting a shooting at the apartment complex. A vehicle description was given, and deputies located and stopped the vehicle a short time later on Mississippi Street.
Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division learned that a verbal argument at the apartments led to an exchange of gunfire between people in the vehicle and individuals at the complex.
Deputies took Michael Evans, 26, William Harrison, 17, and three juveniles into custody from the vehicle. Sheriff Ezell said more arrests are pending.
All five were charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Sheriff Ezell thanked deputies, the Tallulah Police Department, and Probation and Parole for assisting in stopping the vehicle and taking the individuals into custody.
