District IX of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association will hold its Spring District Meeting on March 9, 2026 at Big John’s Steak and Seafood.

District IX of LRTA includes the parishes of East Carroll, Franklin, Madison, Richland, Tensas, and West Carroll. Retired teachers from these parishes are invited to attend. Leandra Mitchell, District IX President, will preside over the meeting, which begins at 10 AM. Registration starts at 9:30 AM.
LRTA Executive Director Dr. Paul E. Nelson will also discuss the upcoming 2026 Regular Session and legislation that could impact retired teachers.
