The Delhi Charter School Gators fell 7-3 to Vidalia High School Saturday at home in Delhi, finishing 2-1 in a three-game stretch with the Vikings.
DCS knocked off Vidalia 11-6 in a Monday home game and defeated the Vikings 9-4 on the road Friday, prior to Saturday’s 4-point loss.
The Vikings did most of its offensive damage Saturday during the top of the fourth inning, when Vidalia’s bats got hot and VHS drove in five runs to take a 6-0 lead.
DCS responded in the bottom of the fifth inning, cutting the Vikings’ lead in half to trail Vidalia 6-3. VHS added to its lead with a score in the seventh inning to cement its 7-3 win and avoid a series sweep by the Gators.
