Inmate escapes from Madison Parish Jail; authorities still searching

An inmate at the Madison Parish Jail in Tallulah escaped custody Saturday and has not, as of yet, been apprehended.

Details surrounding the escape are still sketchy, and while a name has not yet been released, sources say the escapee was taken into custody Friday night after a car accident and was not arrested for a violent crime.
