Tallulah curfew beginning Friday after random shootings

A citywide curfew in Tallulah will be taking effect on Friday in response to alleged random shootings.
The Tallulah Police Department is investigating two of the alleged shootings last weekend.

Marvin Ballett was arrested and is a suspected in a shooting at the Wyche Apartments. The alleged shooting occurred while the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office was investigating a homicide the scene. Ballett's arrest occurred Oct. 25.

Oct. 24 homicide at Wyche Apartments being investigated

On 10/24/24 the Madison Parish Sheriff’s office along with Louisiana State Police, and Tallulah Police Department was at 218 Thomas St, Wyche Apartments investigating a shooting incident that resulted in a homicide. While on scene, more shots were fired and one individual was struck in the lower leg. No arrests have been in the shooting.
