A poll posted to our website garnered a large response.
The question asked was “In light of the two elementary schools being consolidated, who should become the principal of the consolidated school?”
After one week of voting, there were 624 total votes. The results are as follows:

We spoke with Madison Parish Schools Superintendent Charlie Butler about how the next principal of Wright Elementary will be following the consilidation.
Butler said that, according to the law, the next principal will be chosen purley based on performance.
He said that the Tallulah Elementary Building will be used as part of the districts central office, as it already houses several offices for district staff.
