The Annual “Christmas Along the Bayou” Festival has been scheduled for Saturday December 6, 2025, and Sunday, December 7, 2025. “This year’s festival promises to be a fun-filled family day for all of Madison Parish and the surrounding area,” said Tallulah Mayor Yvonne Lewis. “We want everyone to come out and be a part of our Christmas Festival this year. As it has been in the past years, the Christmas Festival is an opportunity for the entire city to come out and celebrate the holiday season in unison.”
The day will begin with the Arts and Crafts Fair on the Courthouse Lawn beginning at 9:00 am and running through the day until 4:00 pm. “Every year, our vendors offer spectacular wares for shoppers. We encourage everyone to come out and get a jump on their Christmas shopping at the Arts and Crafts Fair,” Mayor Lewis said. “Any individual interested in having a booth at the festival should pick up an application from City Hall and the deadline to have applications turned in is Thursday, December 4, 2025, without a $10 late fee. Applications turned in after that date will have a late fee and will only be accepted up until December 5, 2025. Booth prices are $35 to $45 dollars depending on type of booth space desired.
Lineup for the Festival Parade will begin at 2:30 pm for floats and participants. The parade itself will kick off at 4:00 pm. “Mr. Anthony Bridgewater and his wife Sharon will be the 2025 Grand Marshals,” Mayor Lewis said. “Parade applications can be picked up at City Hall as well.”
The Community Choir presentation will be held at First Baptist Church and will begin at 6:00 pm. “The entire community is asked to come out and support all of the individuals who have been rehearsing for the past five weeks for their presentation,” Lewis continued. “We have individuals from various churches who have come together to form a mass choir. This is going to be a phenomenal performance, one that should not be missed,” she said.
The Fireworks finale will commence after the community chorale performance from the Mississippi Street Bridge. All individuals who plan on attending the fireworks show should ensure that you stay behind all cautionary tape for their safety. “Once again, Pyroman LLC will provide the pyrotechnics for the show and the show will conclude with a wall of fireworks off the side of the Mississippi Bridge to the delight of the crowd,” Mayor Lewis said. “This is the highlight of the evening and I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the lights over the Bayou,” he said.
