Local law enforcement has made an arrest in a deadly shooting that occurred over the weekend in Tallulah.
Authorities responded to the report of a shooting Sun., Oct. 11, at Wyche Apartments on Thomas Street.
Upon arrival, deputies found one black juvenile male lying on a sidewalk. The victim was treated by EMS and removed from the scene. He was transported to Madison Parish Hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.
During the investigation, the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office received information that the suspected shooter had been identified as 21-year-old Eddie Lee Jr. Evidence was recovered from the scene and witness statements were taken and a warrant was issued for Lee for second-degree murder.
Hours later, Lee was taken into custody and transported to the Madison Parish Jail, where he is being held without bond. More information will be made available as it is released.
