Last night, (November 25) the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a male being shot on North Walnut Street. The male suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transferred to the local hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
MPSO Investigators processed the crime scene; during their investigation, they discovered the suspect, 23-year-old Kevonta Everett, fled to Delhi. MPSO Investigators met Delhi Police Department and were able to arrest the suspect.
Everett was transferred to Richland Parish Detention Center and brought back to Madison Parish Jail, where he was booked for second-degree murder.
